Sally Turns 30!

The 2008 Sally’s Paddock will be released on the 1st March 2010.  It will be the 30th Vintage of the classic Australian wine from this legendary vineyard, nestled in the heart of the Victorian Pyrenees at Redbank.
Planted in 1973,  Sally’s Paddock is a single vineyard comprising Cabernet Sauvignon,  Shiraz,  Cabernet Franc,  Merlot and Malbec.
Neill Robb,  owner and winemaker of Sally’s Paddock,  has evolved this iconic blend over the years during which time it has received many accolades,  not least of which is a “Distinguished” rating in Langton’s Classification of Fine Australian Wine IV – one of only 101 Australian wines chosen for the list. Langton’s describes Sally’s Paddock as “a modern Victorian classic”.
“This lovely wine has a vivid deep ruby red colour with a tinge of Violet.  Lifted Cherry Liquor aromas with some Cedar and Vanilla background lead to an overall character of ripe autumn berries and some subdued spice notes.  Slightly dusty with a little leafiness.  Soft, round and full palate,  tasting of ripe berry fruit and lifted dark chocolate,  with new oak flavours totally integrated.  Fresh savoury middle palate with lingering complex wine flavours.  Very long,  soft finish with hints of  cloves.  This wine deceptively soft and easy to drink and will need some time to develop its latent power.  The 2008 Sally’s Paddock should keep well for up to 10 or 15 years.”
Sally’s Paddock is available through selected fine wine retailers and good restaurants both nationally and worldwide.
